Culturally, the Kaliningrad Oblast has quite a lot to offer.

 

It has always had a reputation as a centre for amber.

In come museums in the capital Kaliningrad you can admire the rich treasures of amber.

 

In addition there is a regional theatre in Kaliningrad, a famous puppet theatre, a music theatre, a philharmonic orchestra, various other theatres and galleries, an annual film festival and a German-Russian House which organises regular cultural events.
