Nature
Pas de Calais is characterized by the English Channel and the North Sea, and depending on how the sun shines it can be emerald-blue at one time and stormy-grey at another.
Not without reason, this section of the coast between the estuaries of the river Somme and the Belgian border is known as the Opal Coast. The coastal landscape is very varied. Above all cliffs and white sandy beaches dominate here. There are also impressive farming and village landscapes, with hills and low-lying polders, grassland, pastures and fields.
In particular the regional products reflect the unique charm of this region.
You can try the wonderful culinary treasures of Northern France, including mussels, regional types of beer and dairy products, such as cheeses and yoghurt.
