Route St. Petersburg area
You enter Russian territory for the second time on leaving Estonia shortly after Narva.
The first town to welcome you is Ivangorod.
You can now set out on the final, eastward section of the route through to St. Petersburg.
Note that when crossing the border from Estonia to Russia you will need a visa.
You must apply for this before your trip to Russia.
You can obtain a visa for example for about EUR 50 from the Russian Embassy.
For more details go to Contact/Info.
From Ivangorod you proceed north-east through Kingisepp, Kopor’s and Peterhof until the increase in traffic volumes announces that you have reached the outskirts of the city.
Welcome to the end - or the starting point - of the R1, the Russian cultural capital St. Petersburg.
